Come on in and stay awhile! Rustic leather couches and floor- to-ceiling bookcases in warm blond woods line our first-floor “living room.” Our shop is truly a “booklover’s paradise.” Local, world, U.S. and Civil War history fill the front room, along with our extensive collection of leather-bound and other ornately designed books. As you move on through the shop, please visit our engaging children’s room, complete with “Mad Hatter” reading chair . Parents and children gather here for Story Time on Wednesday and Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. The children’s room features vintage, new books and everything in between, as well as colorful wall hangings for your own child’s room at home.

Up the old oak staircase is the kitchen, filled with cookbooks and works on collecting, home repair and antiques. You won’t want to miss the art gallery, replete with books on music, film, theatre, plays, architecture, art, photography, and contemporary and early Hollywood. As you move out of this room, works on literary figures fill the hallway bookshelves. In the farthest reaches of the store (where resident ghost has been known to appear from time to time) is our lovely fiction room. In the summertime, you can sit out on the second-floor porch and have a cool drink.
