Lanier Ivester

As a writer, I like to push against assumptions a bit, with a holy curiosity over the mystery and paradox and parable with which our days are thronged. Like Elizabeth Barrett Browning, I believe that “earth’s crammed with Heaven,” and that the most quotidian things may be charged with eternal meaning, if only we have the eyes to see. I love to look for that meaning, amid the pots and pans, garden trowels, linens and laundry—and, yes, the written words—of my ordinary life.
