Hi! I am Shannon, wife to an amazing husband, Jim. Mother to three grown kids, each amazing in their own right spread out around the world.
So I officially have an “empty nest” and some days I’m not sure how I feel about that. I am a writer, have been my whole life. I have two books DREAMING WITH A HEALTHY HEART, and THE ASCENDING PATH, BOTH available on Amazon. I also write monthly snail mail mission letters called “Grace Journeys” you can find out more about that and other writings and publishing information on houseofactspress.com.
I love the power that words hold, to set free and to bring truth and beauty and to stretch the imagination. I love to knit, bake, and gather around my kitchen table, to grow flowers, read books, write letters and savor a good cup of coffee. I also love to travel around the world where ever the Lord sends to love on and learn from His children.
We currently live in Southern Illinois on a 15 acre wooded hill in a house I affectionately call the big house in the little woods. But a lot is changing for us in 2024, including location.
