Join us at Landmark Booksellers on Tuesday, March 31st, 2026 at 6PM for an evening with William Harmening as he discusses his new book, The Trial of Buford H. Pusser. Harmening is a 37-year retired lawman and professor of forensic psychology and criminology at Washington University in St. Louis, and who is widely regarded as one of the top experts in the U.S. on the subject of police use-of-force. In his book, he dismantles the TBI investigation piece by piece with his own investigation of the evidence and circumstances surrounding the 1967 ambush of McNairy County Sheriff Buford H. Pusser–the subject of the 1973 movie “Walking Tall.” This event is free to attend but please RSVP. Copies of the book will be available for purchase at the event.
