Jill Fordyce

Jill Fordyce was born and raised in Bakersfield, California. Belonging is her debut novel. She and her husband, Craig, have five children and live in California and Tennessee. They recently welcomed their first grandchild.

Jill received a degree in English from the University of Southern California and a law degree from Santa Clara University. While practicing law, she continued to study writing through the Stanford Continuing Education creative writing program.

Jill loves books, music, film, and photography. She loves to cook, bake, and entertain. She especially loves a crowded table filled with family and friends and a great playlist that includes unexpected genres, long-forgotten album cuts, and whatever her children are listening to. She is co-founder of the Fred Zulfa Memorial Scholarship at West High School in Bakersfield. Jill is currently working on her second novel, set in Middle Tennessee.
