Nashville singer-songwriter Cindy Morgan is a two-time GRAMMY® nominee and 14-time Dove Award winner, including the 2023 Inspirational Album of the Year for her work as a producer. A recipient of Songwriter of the Year and the 2024 Hollywood Independent Music Award for her single “Jubilee” featuring Tommy Sims, Morgan has penned 21 No. 1 singles and written for artists such as Amy Grant, Vince Gill, Sierra Hull, India.Arie, Ricky Skaggs, Rascal Flatts, and Michael W. Smith. Her song “Pain Has a Purpose,” featured in the 2026 documentary Americans With No Address, was nominated for both a Hollywood Music in Media Award and the 2024 Music & Media Award for Documentary Song of the Year. Morgan’s creative reach also extends to literature and film, with her debut novel The Year of Jubilee (2023) receiving Christy and Audie Award nominations, and her song “Bird in a Cage” appearing in the feature film Blind. Deeply devoted to service, she co-founded the Hymns for Hunger Tour with Andrew Greer and collaborates with Operation Song to support veterans through music. Most recently, she has written with City Gate and Hope in the Gate to amplify stories of unhoused individuals, and she hosted the inaugural Troubadour Storyteller’s Retreat with her daughters, Cova Gentry and Savannah Shepherd. She lives in Nashville with her husband, Jonathan, an attorney and fellow songwriter.
