Lisa Spencer is an award-winning broadcast meteorologist at WSMV4 in Nashville, where she has led their weather coverage for the past 25 years. She is known for her calm voice during storms and her bright smile on sunny days. Lisa is a teacher favorite, speaking to hundreds of school children each year about the weather. She now combines her meteorological expertise and gift for teaching children into children’s books. The Wonder Dogs: Caught in a Thunderstorm is the first in a series. Lisa lives in the Nashville area with her husband, Brady and the Wonder Dogs. She has a big heart for animals and is an advocate for adopting shelter pets. She and Brady foster dogs for Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue. She also serves on the board of directors for Book’em, a literacy organization that provides books for children who may not otherwise have access.
