Brad Thor

Brad Thor is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of more than two dozen thrillers, and his Scot Harvath novels are some of the most requested books on our thriller shelves. Harvath begins as a former Navy SEAL protecting the president for the Secret Service in The Lions of Lucerne (2002) and grows, book by book, into America’s top covert operative. Thor writes close to the headlines. He has served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Analytic Red Cell Unit, lectured law enforcement on emerging threats, and in 2008 shadowed a Black Ops team in Afghanistan to research The Apostle. Blowback was named one of NPR’s Top 100 Killer Thrillers of all time, and The Last Patriot was nominated for Best Thriller of the Year by the International Thriller Writers. Before turning to fiction he studied creative writing at the University of Southern California and created and hosted the public television series Traveling Lite. The Harvath series reached its twenty-fifth novel with Choke Point in 2026, and he has teamed with Ward Larsen on Cold Zero and the coming Fire Fall. He is one of our local authors, and we keep his work in depth, from the early Harvath books to signed copies of the newest.
