What we look for in a bookseller
- A lover of books and reading who would consider themselves well read.
- You work independently and take initiative, noticing what needs doing and handling it.
- You’re comfortable with technology: our POS, online order pickups and shipping, and basic troubleshooting.
- You can multitask across phone calls, customers, and the register without things slipping through the cracks.
- You’re excellent with customers, reading whether someone wants quick help or a longer conversation.
- You can recommend books beyond your own tastes, including genres you don’t personally read.
- You’re a team player who leaves the store in good shape for the next shift.
