The four blocks between the public square and 5th Avenue have historically been the heart of Downtown Franklin’s business district. Over the years, businesses have come and gone making it difficult to detail every business location. I will try to give you a pictorial tour of these four blocks as detailed as my limited research and period photographs will allow. If the truth be told, Main Street looks better today than any time in its 223 years.
