The Book of Common Prayer (1854)

An exquisite example of Victorian craftsmanship, this 1854 Book of Common Prayer is a true collector's piece. Published in London by G. E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode, it features an attractive contemporary binding of dark green velvet. The covers are adorned with brass edges and corner pieces, while the upper cover is embellished with a central brass cross. The smooth spine and brass clasp complement the all-edges-gilt finish, and the white silk endleaves add a final touch of luxury.
