Published during the Devotio Moderna movement, which Kempis himself followed, the book includes a frontispiece and sixteen plates carefully protected by tissue guards.
This rare edition retains its original full vellum binding, showcasing a classic look in near perfect condition.
This edition was owned by architect and later antiquarian book dealer and collector Robin de Beaumont; born in Glasgow, Scotland.
