About this book
This striking hardback edition brings together the foundational works of the 'weird fiction' genre from the pens of Lovecraft, Robert E. Howard and more, presented with eye-catching cover embossing and printed page edges.
A number of writers made their reputations in the pulp magazine Weird Tales, which first appeared in 1922. Specializing in horror, fantasy and science fiction, it published some of the most imaginative and thrilling works of the era. These pioneers influenced generations of speculative fiction writers and shaped genre fiction as we know it today.
This collection brings together many of the greatest stories published in that magazine, from the cosmic horror of Lovecraft's Great Old Ones to the fantastical adventures of Conan the Barbarian to the epic tales of Zothique, the last continent on a dying Earth.i
