Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne (1926 First Edition, First Printing, in a Fine Leather Binding)
About this book
A wonderful first edition, first printing of A. A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh, with the beloved decorations by Ernest H. Shepard, published by Methuen & Co., London, in 1926. The copyright page carries the "First Published in 1926" first-printing point.
This copy has been beautifully rebound in full dark green crushed morocco, with raised bands, gilt tooling and a gilt-lettered spine, top edge gilt, and the original illustrated map endpapers preserved. In a lovely touch for collectors, the original publisher's cloth cover is bound in at the rear, so the first-edition binding travels with the book.
A handsome and highly giftable example of one of the most cherished children's books ever written, presented as a fine display piece here at Landmark Booksellers. Pre-owned, in excellent condition, with a tight, sound binding and clean interior.
